WordLift is an innovative platform for marketing and SEO automation founded by Andrea Volpini, David Riccitelli, and Francesco Scavelli. Using advanced semantic technologies such as knowledge graphs, it enhances indexing and visibility on search engines, transforming websites into dynamic sources of knowledge.
Initially launched as an SEO plugin for WordPress, WordLift has evolved over the years into an advanced platform capable of serving top market players such as Airbnb, Ray-Ban, and Ferrari. With strategic investment from Primo Ventures, WordLift is repositioning itself to enter the enterprise segment, expanding its offerings to meet the needs of large companies.
For this significant transformation, WordLift entrusted Moze with the task of completely rethinking its visual identity and creating its new website.
Here is the process we followed to complete this project:
- Design of the new brand identity We reimagined WordLift’s identity for the enterprise market.
- Website design We optimized UX and the site architecture for WordLift.
- Website development We built WordLift’s website on WordPress with a custom theme based on Sage.
Design of the New Brand Identity
The project began with an analysis of WordLift’s positioning and context, followed by a rebranding process. The founders clarified their long-term vision: to transition from a simple technical tool to a strategic solution for companies aiming to integrate artificial intelligence into their marketing and SEO operations.
Our challenge was to preserve the essence of the existing brand, highlighting its strengths, while modernizing it to make it appealing to a more discerning and sophisticated audience.
We worked on redesigning the brand identity, retaining existing elements like the color historically associated with WordLift, while introducing dynamic, modern features that convey professionalism and innovation.
The goal was to create a visual identity that reflects the company’s growth and its new focus on the enterprise market, without losing connection to its roots.
We aimed to communicate the complexity of WordLift’s technologies in a clear and immediate way, without resorting to an overly technical or didactic presentation.
The guiding idea for the project was inspired by the metaphor of “building blocks,” drawn from the concept of the knowledge graph, a core element of the platform. Each entity in WordLift’s knowledge graph can be seen as a building block that, when combined with others, creates new connections of meaning.
This concept was visually expressed in the site’s layout and illustrations, where components assemble fluidly, conveying the idea of an interconnected information ecosystem.
Website Design
We focused closely on the user experience (UX) and information architecture. With WordLift, the challenge was to convey the breadth and complexity of their offerings in a simple and accessible way. We worked closely with their team to structure a clear and intuitive navigation, allowing potential clients to immediately understand the value Word
The WordLift team worked intensively on rephrasing content to communicate the brand’s new value proposition and present their service offerings more effectively.
Moze provided precise guidelines for design and user experience to ensure that the complexity of the offerings was conveyed with maximum clarity.
These guidelines focused on crucial aspects such as readability, visual hierarchy, and overall site usability.
The result is a completely revamped navigation structure that allows for simple, seamless reading of information while retaining content depth and richness.
The site now features a clear layout of sections, making it easy for users to orient themselves through logical and intuitive pathways.
This approach effectively organizes WordLift’s wide range of solutions, enabling users to quickly access content of interest, reducing information overload, and significantly enhancing the overall experience.
Website Development
The website was developed using WordPress, the platform on which WordLift’s SEO plugin is based. This choice was strategic, not only to ensure full compatibility with WordLift’s products but also to reinforce the brand’s identity as a leader in WordPress-based SEO.
The new site was built with a custom theme based on Sage, a modern framework that allowed us to create optimized, easily manageable code.
Using the Blade templating engine ensured better maintainability and code organization, making development more efficient and facilitating future updates.
We developed custom post types and custom taxonomies to streamline the management of specific content like case studies, services, and blog articles. This made content organization flexible and scalable, enhancing navigation and the user experience.
A key feature was the development of the pricing page, which integrates WordLift’s APIs to retrieve and display pricing plans in real time. This solution simplified price management, keeping information up-to-date without manual intervention.
The entire development was optimized to ensure high performance, with a focus on fast loading times and a smooth user experience, crucial for the enterprise target audience.
Vision and Impact
Thanks to the new website and refreshed visual identity, WordLift is now positioned as a leading company in AI-driven SEO, capable of providing strategic consulting to large enterprises. This brand repositioning has not only strengthened their presence in
