In 2020, Translated, an Italian scaleup in the translation sector, decided to launch Imminent, a Research Centre dedicated to sharing new knowledge in the fields of intercultural communication and linguistic services. The project boasts an excellent editorial staff led by Luca De Biase, a well-known essayist and journalist specialising in matters relating to innovation.
We helped the Translated team to design and develop Imminent’s website, a publishing hub that brings together the vast knowledge made publicly available online.
User Interface Design
We designed the user interface of Imminent’s website. The layout of the pages, based on the visual identity guidelines provided by Translated, aims to effectively guide the reader through heterogeneous content and complex data, making it as easy as possible to browse the many articles available.
Technological Development
To create Imminent’s editorial hub, we chose the WordPress CMS, creating a bespoke theme with features designed around the needs of the editorial team.
In particular, we developed custom components for the T-Index section: the proprietary classification created by Translated to measure the online sales potential of different countries. In developing T-Index, we employed Algolia Search, a powerful search engine that allows the user to obtain relevant results from a text search (e.g. by using synonyms or automatically correcting typos).
