Dog Heroes was founded in 2019 with the aim of helping people to choose the best nutrition for their dog, by offering fresh products with excellent quality ingredients, delivered to their homes.
We met the founders of Dog Heroes when they were starting up their business, and helped them design and develop their e-commerce site.

Co-design Workshop
We started working with the Dog Heroes team by running a Co-design Workshop.
We defined the concept of the solution by mapping its operating requirements through the User Story Mapping technique, an Agile tool that lets us illustrate software functionality from the user experience perspective.
We focused on the project objectives and defined the operational and technical constraints to consider.


Tech solution
Based on the requirements defined with User Story Mapping, we developed a technological solution based on two main tools: WooCommerce for its solidity as an e-commerce platform, and React for its flexibility in creating highly interactive front-ends.

User Interface Design
We defined the User Experience and designed the User Interface for the e-commerce solution by focusing on the purchase funnel, which consists of a series of interactive steps allowing the customer to obtain a customised product based on their dog’s calorie needs.


Launch and growth
At the end of 2019, the Dog Heroes e-commerce site was launched on the market, initially only with delivery in Milan. At the beginning of 2020, partly owing to the closure of many stores due to COVID-19, Dog Heroes extended delivery throughout Italy to help people buy food for their pets online during lockdown.
In the following years, Dog Heroes launched a series of new initiatives and products both online and in physical stores, thanks to collaborations with large-scale retail.
Our collaboration is still ongoing for further developments, and the ecommerce built by our team has allowed the Dog Heroes team to scale from 0 to millions of euros in recurring revenue.
