CommerceClarity

AI operating system for ecommerce

CommerceClarity develops an AI agent platform for ecommerce catalog management. It turns large volumes of raw data into operational insight and intelligent automation.

From the earliest stages, we worked alongside the team as product design and UX partners, accelerating their work to lay the foundations of CommerceClarity.

CommerceClarity’s goal is to bring clarity to complex contexts, helping large companies and structured brands make better decisions on catalogs, performance, and revenue.

How the project started

CommerceClarity was at the beginning of its journey: there was a solid idea, a working proof of concept, and a founder team ready to turn that vision into a credible B2B product.

At the first meeting the fit was clear: to start a close collaboration to support the design of a platform capable of really changing how ecommerce is done—with the challenge of making solid design decisions when the possible directions for the product were still wide open.

Product Strategy

At the outset the problems to solve were clear, as was the basic product idea. As the direction became clearly defined, we had to lay the foundations in product and design from day one. At an early stage like this, a startup can take very different paths: target small and mid-size ecommerce or aim for the enterprise market, build operational features or focus on AI agents and observability tools.

We started from the Co-design Workshop: intensive working sessions with the founders, focused on supporting and accelerating product strategy. We put hypotheses, scenarios, and priorities on the table until we converged on a concrete, shared brand and UX strategy.

Designing an AI product for large enterprises calls for different choices than in simpler contexts, especially when working on complex systems and structured stakeholders.

Lean Branding

A central part of the work was the brand identity, conceived from the start as part of the digital product, not as an add-on layer.

Our approach brings branding to life together with the product, along the same design and development path: from backlog to branding, same story, same sprint. That means building identity while clarifying vision, features, and priorities—not at the end of the process.

In CommerceClarity’s case, the brand had to make visible the promise of bringing clarity to complex contexts. The visual identity was built to express precision, reliability, and structure—essential qualities for an AI product aimed at large enterprises.

Monogram, modular palette, and typography translate concepts like order, connection, and meaning into visual form, becoming part of the product experience itself, not just communication.

Design system

At this stage the challenge was twofold.

On one side we had to design the key features of an AI-first product from a UX perspective; on the other we needed to build a Design System from day one that would make our choices scalable and avoid inconsistency and rework as the product grew.

Working on Design System and UX in an enterprise context often means simplifying without dumbing down, a balance that can make innovation more accessible than it seems.

Our development team worked closely with design to translate the Design System directly into code and speed up development of the platform’s first features. That allowed CommerceClarity to move fast while keeping vision, interface, and implementation aligned.

When the internal team came up to speed, the handoff was smooth. The foundations were already solid: components, logic, and interface spoke the same language, making it natural to continue the work without slowdowns.

Pre-seed round and beyond

Over time CommerceClarity grew quickly and closed a $3.1 million pre-seed round, confirming the strength of the vision and the product.

With the growth of the internal technical team, the project entered a new phase. Moze continued to collaborate as a UX/UI partner, supporting the product’s evolution over time and working closely with the internal team to maintain consistency, quality, and continuity in the experience.

The collaboration with CommerceClarity reflects how we work with startups and complex digital products: standing beside founders in the early phases, building solid foundations, and supporting the product as it grows, with a constant balance between strategy, design, and technology.
